Therapy

A woman with glasses and brown hair in a bun, sitting at a yellow table, smiling while looking at her phone. There are framed pictures and artwork on the pink patterned wall behind her, including drawings of a dog, stars, and abstract shapes, with various papers, a potted plant, and a cup on the table.

Therapy can be a place to work through hard things, or just have someone in your corner.

I offer virtual therapy for teens and women throughout Texas. We'll take time to understand what you're going through and figure out together what will actually help.

What to expect in therapy

You don't need to know exactly what you need or how to "do therapy."

We'll start by getting to know each other and talking about what brings you in. From there, we'll figure out what you'd like to work on and what might help, starting where you are.

My Approach

Therapy is collaborative. I draw from a few approaches and use what fits you:

  • Person-Centered Therapy: you lead, and our relationship is built on you feeling heard and respected

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): making room for hard thoughts and feelings while moving toward what matters to you

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): practical skills for handling intense emotions and relationships

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: building on what's already working

  • Narrative Therapy: looking at the stories you tell about your life and rethinking the ones that don't fit

  • Creative and experiential approaches: sometimes it's easier to explore things by doing rather than just talking, so we might use writing, games, movement, or play

We'll pay attention to what's working and adjust as we go.

We can start with the stories you love

A lot of people find it easier to talk about a character than about themselves, at least at first. If you're into books, games, anime, fanfic, or a show you've rewatched more times than you can count, you're welcome to bring that into sessions. You don't have to explain why it matters to you. Sometimes the stories we keep coming back to say a lot about what we need.

Walk-and-Talk Sessions

Not every session has to happen in front of a screen. If you'd like, you can walk or sit outside while we meet, whether that's around your neighborhood, at a park, or on your porch.

Some people find it easier to open up while moving. You choose the place and the pace, and we can always switch back to a regular session. Walk-and-talk sessions are available for adults anywhere in Texas and cost the same as regular sessions.

Who I Work With

Come as you are. All identities are welcome here.

Teens (13–17)

For teens who feel a little different and would rather start with a book or a game than small talk.

Women (18+)
For women who've spent years keeping the peace and holding it all together for everyone else.

Start with a Conversation

Reaching out is the hardest part. After that, we'll figure it out together.

A free 15-minute consultation is a chance to talk about what you're looking for, ask questions, and see whether Taylor's Garden feels like a good fit.
