Getting Started
Reaching out is the hardest part. After that, we'll figure it out together.
How To Start
Schedule a free 15-minute consultation. We'll talk about what's going on, you can ask any questions, and we'll see if it feels like a good fit.
Fill out your paperwork. If we decide to work together, you'll get intake forms and consent documents through a secure client portal.
Have your first session. We'll get to know each other, talk about what brings you in, and start figuring out what you'd like to work on.

Questions people often ask
-
Insurance usually requires a diagnosis and can limit how long or how often we meet. Private pay keeps our work between us and lets us decide together what you need.
-
Yes. I'm licensed in Texas, so you need to be physically located in Texas for every session, even if you're traveling.
-
I've completed a master's degree in counseling and passed the national licensing exam. As an LPC Associate, I practice under the supervision of Gail K. Roaten, PhD, LPC-S while working toward full licensure. Supervision never includes your name or identifying details.
-
We'll decide together. It depends on what you're working on and what fits your life and budget.
-
We'll meet on Zoom, using a HIPAA-compliant account with a signed Business Associate Agreement. Scheduling, paperwork, and messages go through Sessions Health, a secure client portal, and you'll get your Zoom link there before each session.

They're all covered in your paperwork before the first session, so you'll know what to expect.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care if you aren't using insurance. You can ask for one at any time.
If you need help right now
If things feel like too much right now, you don’t have to wait for a session. I’m not always able to respond to messages right away, so please call or text 988 any time, day or night. If you’re in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Start with a conversation
A free 15-minute consultation is a chance to talk about what you're looking for, ask questions, and see whether Taylor's Garden feels like a good fit.
